Big Bend is where the Rio Grande bends through the Chihuahuan Desert in far West Texas, and where desert, river and the Chisos Mountains meet. We mapped all 1,252 square miles: 118 miles of the Rio Grande, 150 miles of trail, and the canyons and peaks in between.
Names that print include the Chisos Mountains, Emory Peak, Santa Elena Canyon, Boquillas Canyon, Terlingua and Study Butte. The Overview shows the whole park and carries our info panel; the North, Southwest and Southeast sheets carry the detail at about 1 inch = 1.1 miles, on a 1-mile UTM grid. The Chisos Basin gets its own detail inset. Look for Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive, Lost Mine Trail, Hot Springs, The Window and Old Ore Road too.
